Tree Pruning
When your trees are properly pruned you’re not only improving the health and longevity of the tree but your also adding value to your home and property by doing so. Here at UHL Arbor Care we practice all the proper pruning procedures and guidelines provided by the International Society of Arboriculture.
Tree Removal
There are a few reasons for a tree needing to be removed and we would be happy to come out and perform a tree risk assessment for you within a timely manner. We can discuss the options and if there are no other safe or viable options for keeping the tree, we have the equipment and experience necessary to take care of the job.
Cabling & Bracing
Cabling in most cases is used to support limbs or stems with a defect which makes potential for failure higher. The high strength cable provides mechanical support to the weak areas. This system helps reduce the risk of failure but does not completely eliminate it. We can only do that by removing the entire limb or tree if necessary. Bracing can be used to support a tree that is leaning or has larger limbs that need additional support to provide clearance.
Planting & Establishment
Understanding the right tree for your environment and your goals are important. We want your tree to flourish in its new location. Once your tree is planted we can help ensure its success by coming up with a tree specific maintenance program.
Tree Preservation
Trees can add up to 10-20% of the value of your home or land. More often than not the construction crews and potential home owner do not understand that new construction around trees can have devastating effects. To mitigate these effects we can come out pre-construction and put together a plan to properly protect the trees and their root systems before, during and after construction.
Soil Conditioning
We can promote new root growth in existing trees by using this method, which results in a healthier more attractive tree.

How much does tree removal cost in San Antonio?
Tree removal costs vary depending on the size, location, and complexity of the job. We provide free estimates so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.
When is the best time to trim live oaks in Texas?
Live oaks should be pruned between July and January to avoid oak wilt season. We never prune live oaks during the high-risk spring months (February through June).
What is oak wilt and how do I know if my tree has it?
Oak wilt is a fungal disease that kills oak trees, especially live oaks. Signs include browning leaves starting at the tips, leaf drop, and rapid decline. Contact us immediately if you suspect oak wilt — early treatment is critical.
